Election Information 2020 ROBO Text

As a reminder, the continuing COVID-19 pandemic has changed the voting process for this November’s election. The deadline for new voter registrations is October 13th and the Municipal Clerk will still accept voter registrations forms as late as the 13th from 4:30 to 9pm at the front entrance of Town Hall. All voters, already registered, should have received their mail in ballot by now; if you have not received your ballot you can call the Township Clerk’s Office or download the Second Ballot Request Form from the homepage of the Township website. Once your mail in ballot is completed, it can be placed in the mail, at no cost, or delivered to any of the Ballot Drop boxes in Essex County. The two ballot drop boxes in West Orange are located near the entrance of the Richard Codey Arena on Northfield Avenue or next to the rear entrance of Town Hall on Main Street. Prior to mailing, or delivering your ballot, make note of the scan bar number on the envelope your ballot was received in as you can track the delivery and processing of your ballot through the Essex County Clerk’s website. There will not be routine in person voting this election and most polling places usually open on Election Day will not be for this election. There will only be 9 polling places open on Election Day and these locations will only be for voters to drop off their completed ballot or for casting a provisional vote if a voter never received or lost their initial ballot. To repeat, there will NOT be any option for routine in person voting this election day. Full voting information, including a complete list of Ballot Drop box locations and open election day polling places is available on the home page of the Township website at www.westorange.org or at Facebook.com/westorangeinfo and residents can also call the Township Clerk’s Office at 973-325-4155 with questions. Thank you…and remember, your vote counts!
