Mendham, Chester: Here Is Your 2020 Election Polling Location – Mendham, NJ Patch

NORTH JERSEY – The COVID-19 pandemic has switched the upcoming Nov. 3 election to primarily vote-by-mail and reduced the number of polling places in each town.

All registered voters will be receiving ballots that they can mail back, put in a secure drop box or deliver to their polling location. Those who come to a polling place without their ballot will only be allowed to vote using a provisional ballot.

Those requiring an ADA voting booth can vote at a polling place on election day, where they’ll be given a headset and accessible device to allow them to cast your votes.

Polling places will be open from 6 a.m.– 8 p.m.

Chester Borough residents will vote at the Municipal Building at 50 North Road in the Main Meeting Room. Chester Township residents will vote at the Highlands Ridge Barn at 100 North Road.

Mendham Borough residents will vote at the Garabrant Center at 4 Wilson Street in the Main Meeting Room. Mendham Township residents will vote in the Emergency Services Building at 1 Cherry Lane in the truck bay.

Since the change to this year’s election was announced by Murphy, there have been many questions about how the process will work. Below is some further reading on the Nov. 3 election process:

A primarily vote-by-mail election means a lot of changes to election day. See what you can expect this November.

Those not needing an ADA compliant booth will need a provisional ballot to vote in-person. Here is what that will look like.

There was language on the primary ballots asked voters certify they requested the ballot, even if they didn’t.

Voters wondering how their signatures are checked before the upcoming election can see the process for themselves.
