NEWARK, N.J. (AP) — A crash in New Jersey’s largest city killed an 11 year-old girl and two adults and left five other people injured.

Essex County prosecutors say the crash in Newark occurred around 7 p.m. Sunday in the area of Central Avenue and Broad Street.

One vehicle struck another another, causing the latter car to collide with a third vehicle.

Authorities say 35-year-old Rosa Lojalema, who was driving the first vehicle, and two of her passengers — 77-year-old Elba Galarza, of Glen Ridge, and 11-year-old Clarise Pizcha — all died from their injuries.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation, and no charges have been filed so far.
