RELEASE: Devils Announce Virtual Draft Party – NHL.com

The New Jersey Devils have announced details for the team’s virtual 2020 Draft Party, presented by Investors Bank, which will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 6 at 6:45 p.m. ET at NewJerseyDevils.com/DraftParty. Members of the “Black and Red” and Investors Bank Devils Checking Account Holders will enjoy a 30-minute Exclusive Pre-Show with Devils’ defenseman Damon Severson and newly named Assistant Coach Mark Recchi at 6:45 p.m. ET, prior to the 7:30 p.m. ET start for the general public. New Jersey will have three picks in the first round of the 2020 NHL Draft- No. 7, No. 18, and No. 20. The organization has selected first overall twice in the past four years, selecting Nico Hischier in 2017 and Jack Hughes in 2019. The 2017 selection marked the first time in team history that the Devils held the number one overall selection.  

In anticipation of discovering who the New Jersey Devils will select in the 2020 NHL Draft, the virtual Draft Party will feature over two hours of live programming, highlighting over 15 exclusive interviews with players, Alumni, management, media members, and others. The exclusive pre-show for “Black and Red” members and Devils Checking Account Holders, which starts at 6:45 pm. ET, will feature Devils defenseman Damon Severson and Assistant Coach Mark Recchi. The 7:30 p.m. ET show, open to the general public, will include additional interviews from Devils players Kyle Palmieri, Nico Hischier, Mackenzie Blackwood, Miles Wood, and Pavel Zacha, Devils Alumni Martin Brodeur, Ken Daneyko, Scott Gomez, Chico Resch, and Bryce Salvador, Head Coach Lindy Ruff, General Manager Tom Fitzgerald, Impractical Joker Brian “Q” Quinn and actor, comedian and comic book writer, Kevin Smith. The event will be hosted by Devils’ broadcaster Matt Loughlin.   

The 2020 Devils Draft Party, Presented by Investors Bank will be interactive for fans, with a multi-room afterparty experience including performances by the Flying Ivories Dueling Pianos and team mascot NJ Devil battling fans on EA Sports NHL 20 for a chance to win a copy of NHL21. NJ will randomly select fans on his Twitter to play against him. For more information follow @NJDevil00 on Twitter. TJ the DJ will be playing songs heard at Prudential Center. Fans have the chance to play ‘Predict the Picks’ for the chance to win $20,000 cash. Fans can win by correctly guessing the order of the Devils picks and other draft-related questions.
