NJ’s New Jersey County COVID-19 Data Center: Monmouth County Surpasses 10,000 Cases Total as of Thursday – InsiderNJ

Welcome to Insider NJ’s New Jersey County COVID-19 Data Center, where you will find the latest information from the state’s 21 counties.  We’ll update this page each time a county has released updated information on its COVID-19 data, rather than publish them as standalone posts, as we have done for the past several weeks.  This will allow all the information to be housed in one central place, while making it easier for the reader to find the most recent updates without having to search the site.  You can scroll through the below to see all the counties, or you click your choice below to be taken directly to that county’s place on the page. In addition, you’ll find the statewide totals and county list below the county links.  For other updates, follow Insider NJ’s COVID-19 Information Update Center.

County health officials also reported 31 additional residents were confirmed positive for Covid-19 today, according to Atlantic County public health officials. They included 21 males, ages 11 months to 79 years, and 10 females, ages 1 year to 73 years.

Nine of the new cases were found in Pleasantville, seven in Atlantic City and three each in Egg Harbor Township, Galloway and Hammonton. The following towns each had one new case: Absecon, Buena Vista Township, Egg Harbor City, Hamilton Township, Linwood and Ventnor.

The test site is now available for both symptomatic and asymptomatic county residents with or without a doctor’s prescription. Residents must make an appointment for testing and provide proof of county residency and appointment confirmation.

If available, appointments can be made online at www.aclink.org. Those who are unable to keep their appointments are asked to cancel no less than 24 hours in advance so others may have an opportunity to fill those spots.

“This virus is still very much active in our community. Although the number of new cases in Camden County is relatively steady, people are still getting sick every day,” said Freeholder Director Louis Cappelli, Jr. “While the rest of the country is battling an outbreak as bad as any we’ve seen throughout this crisis, New Jersey has kept our numbers low because we have taken the threat seriously and our residents have followed the guidelines put in place to keep them safe. We can keep this going if we stay committed to our approach. Wear a mask, social distance, and minimize gatherings in public. It only takes one mistake to put lives at risk, so we have to remain vigilant.”
