Columbia H.S. Standouts Emerge at Sectional Track Championship – TAPinto.net

TOMS RIVER, NJ — Senior Terrel Williams won the 55-meter hurdle event representing Columbia High School at the Section 2, Group 4 track championship on Friday.

Williams won the gold medal with a time of 7.32 in the 55-meter hurdles. While his performance highlighted the day for the Columbia boys track contingent, which finished ninth in the team standings, the Cougar girls track team fared very well.

Columbia finished third in the girls’ team standings. While there were no gold medalists, three Columbia girls took second in their respective events. Junior Ruth Pastuer came in second in the 55-meter hurdles with a time of 8.41, and third in the 55-meter race with a 7.37. Junior Bailey Hoff was second in the high jump with a 4-10.00. Senior Megan Mosteiro was second in the pole vault with a 10-06.00.

Senior Dylan Herbert was fourth in the girls’ high jump at 4-08.00.
