NJ Ice Skating Rinks Offer Family Fun For Holiday Week – Toms River, NJ Patch

With the kids off for the week and lots of families taking vacation time to enjoy the holidays, you may be looking for ways to spend time that don’t involve sitting in a room staring at your phones.

If you’ve never been ice skating, this could be a great time to try it, and New Jersey has a lot of skating rinks. A few of them have other activities, too, including bumper cars on ice.

Here’s a list of ice rinks in New Jersey offering public skating during the holiday week, along with fees, and special events or fun offerings.

Clary Anderson Arena

Admission is $8, and skate rental is $4. Their public session times vary; some start as early as 10:30 a.m., some end as late as 10 p.m. Their schedule has public skating times blocked out (look for the green blocks) each week. They are closed on Christmas.

Bridgewater Sports Arena

Admission is $8 for adults, $6 for children 12 and younger, $5 for seniors, and skate rental is $3. The public skating schedule varies from day to day, with a mix of morning and evening sessions. They are closed on Christmas and New Year’s Day. They also offer laser tag if you’re looking for a full day of fun.

The rink began offering bumper cars on ice in 2018 and it’s become so popular that all of its public ice time is scheduled for ice bumper cars sessions. There are morning sessions that are cars bumping and bouncing around the rink and there are even disco bump sessions. It’s $10 for 15 minutes of bumping around the ice, and they take reservations online. They are closed on Christmas and do not have sessions scheduled Jan. 2.
