Winter Storm: Bergen Roads, Rails, Power Outage Update – Ridgewood, NJ Patch
BERGEN COUNTY,NJ – Bergen County has been largely unscathed by an early winter storm that has caused problems across New Jersey, however there’s still been some impact.
There’s also still some potential for snow to fall, with the National Weather Service predicting a nighttime snow accumulation of an extra 2 to 4 inches.
A winter storm warning was issued for Bergen, Passaic, Sussex, Morris, Union, Essex, Warren, Middlesex and Mercer counties. The warning was to expire between 4 and 7 a.m. Tuesday.
The National Weather Service’s most current snowfall totals show that a trace of snow has fallen in Ridgewood, along with a trace of freezing rain. Teterboro Airport reported the same amount.
NJ Transit

The agency said it anticipates regular service on its rail, bus, light rail and Access Link services for the day as long as weather conditions permit safe operations.
Commuters are being advised to build extra travel time into their schedules and check NJ Transit’s social media pages for up to date information on their lines.
