S2Gs Montclair Literary Festival: Dani Shapiro In Conversation – Montclair, NJ Patch

Succeed2gether’s Montclair Literary Festival presents its final event of the year: best-selling author Dani Shapiro will discuss her latest gripping memoir Inheritance on Tuesday December 10 from 6 p.m.
In Inheritance Dani chronicles her discovery, after taking a DNA test on a whim, that her father is not her biological father. Dani will talk with Deborah Davis about the ethical questions surrounding fertility treatments and DNA testing, and the issues she explores in the book regarding paternity, identity and love.
The talk will take place at the Glen Ridge Country Club, Ridgewood Ave, Glen Ridge. Refreshments and a light meal will be served from 6 p.m. The talk begins at 7 p.m. and Dani will sign books after the event.

Dani Shapiro is the author of the memoirs Hourglass, Still Writing, Devotion, and Slow Motion and five novels including Black & White and Family History.
Deborah Davis is the author of 10 books, including Strapless: John Singer Sargent and the Fall of Madame X; Party of the Century: The Fabulous Story of Truman Capote and His Black and White Ball; and the memoir My Love Story, which she wrote with music legend Tina Turner.
In March 2019 more than 3000 people attended S2G’s third Montclair Literary Festival to hear from over 130 authors in 63 events, including Joyce Carol Oates, Sigrid Nunez, Nathan Englander, Wayétu Moore, Fiona Davis, Laurie Lico Albanese, David Ebershoff, Jonathan Santlofer, and Sam Lipsyte.
The 2019 festival was sponsored by Jill Williams and Ameriprise Financial, Avis Budget Group, West of Hudson Realty, NJEA and many generous community members.
