Motorist Rear Ends Bloomfield School Bus, Four Transported to Mountainside Hospital – TAPinto.net

BLOOMFIELD, NJ – A motorist rear ended at Bloomfield school bus Wednesday morning at about 8:45 a.m. The incident took place on Broad St. near Overlook Ter.

Units from the Bloomfield Police Department, Bloomfield Fire Department, and EMS responded to the scene.

According to the Bloomfield Police Department, there were nine students, and aid and a driver of the bus at the time of the accident. There were minor injuries reported with complaints of neck, back and head pain from the occupants of the bus.

The aid and three students, reported to be 11 and 12 years old, were transported to Hackensack Meridian Mountainside Medical Center in Montclair for evaluation.

The traffic division of the Bloomfield Police Department is investigating the accident.

The Bloomfield Superintendent of Schools is currently at a convention out of town. The district was not able to provide comment.
