Happy weekend, Hudson County! Although it’s technically not Hallo-weekend yet, that doesn’t mean the Halloween celebrations haven’t already started. This weekend, Hudson County will host every thing from Halloween parties to an event called “Shucktoberfest.” Here are all the events happening in Hoboken, Jersey City, and beyond this weekend {October 24th-October 27th 2019}:

Next week make sure you check out Lines in the Dust by Obie-winning and Pulitzer-nominated actress and playwright Nikkole Salter. Shows begin at 8:00PM, Thursday, November 7th through Saturday, November 9th at New Jersey City University’s West Side Theatre {285 West Side Avenue, Jersey City}. Set in 2010 in Essex County, Lines in the Dust tells the story of Denitra, a single mother who loses the charter school lottery for her daughter and who now must find another way to escape from their underperforming neighborhood school. The play questions how far we’ve come since Brown vs The Board of Education and more importantly, where we go from here. {Luna Stage Commission} General admission is $25 and tickets for students and seniors are just $5.
