Fun for all at Wantage Day Fall Festival – New Jersey Herald

WANTAGE — Visitors to Woodbourne Park Saturday afternoon were greeted with beautiful early autumn weather as they enjoyed a variety of fun outdoor activities during the Wantage Day Fall Festival.

Approximately 55 vendors attended the event, which was organized by the Wantage Township Recreational Advisory Committee along with the township fire department and numerous municipal employees.

The festival offered something for all ages, from inflatable attractions and BB gun shooting lessons for children to cornhole and craft beer for adults. Attendees also had the chance to purchase items from local businesses, learn more about services and organizations in Sussex County and enjoy fresh apples and cider from Beemerville Orchard.

Although the festival officially started at noon, festivities got underway early with a softball game organized by the Morris Essex Tuesday Senior Softball (M.E.T.S.S.) League, which is looking to expand to Sussex County.

Recreational advisory committee member Kathy Gorman said the day was a success overall, with a large turnout and everyone excited to see what this year’s festival had in store. She also credited the fire department and township officials as well as the High Point United Soccer Club for their work in setting up for the event.
