Missing West Orange Mother, 2 Children Found Safe: Police – West Orange, NJ Patch
WEST ORANGE, NJ — UPDATE: Gabrielle Goulbourne and her children have been found. All are safe; no additional details were immediately available. Police thanked the public for their help. Our original article follows below.
The West Orange Police Department is asking for the public’s help locating a missing mother and two children, authorities announced Monday.
Township officials said Gabrielle Goulbourne, 25, and her children, Jasir O. Goulbourne, 2, and Saheed Baksh, 6, were last seen at 6:30 a.m. on Aug. 5 when they left their home in West Orange.
They were traveling on foot, officials said Monday evening.
Police described Gabrielle Goulbourne as 5 feet 1 inch and 100 pounds with a light skin complexion, a medium build and hair that was recently cut in a “mohawk” style. (See below photo)
Police described Saheed Baksh as a black male with a “low-cut” hairstyle, last seen wearing a white tank top undershirt and PJ mask pajama shorts, hair is low cut. He may be walking with a limp from an injury to the left big toe, authorities said.

“Ms. Goulbourne does not have a vehicle,” West Orange police stated. “They possibly left the residence with a Mickey Mouse stroller.”
While the West Orange police are actively investigating to find Gabrielle, Saheed and Jasir, they are asking for the public’s assistance finding them and returning them to their family. Anyone with information can call the West Orange Police Department at 973-325-4000 or email jdemars@wopd.org.
As of 4 p.m. on Tuesday, police were still searching for Goulbourne and her children, a township spokesperson said.
