Fathers Day is Opening Day of the 10th Season of the Nutley Farmers Market – TAPinto.net

NUTLEY, NJ – The JerseyFresh Nutley Farmers’ Market, like Nutley itself, is one of those gems that is hidden right in the middle of everything. With major roadways and freeways cutting through and across almost every town in the state except Nutley, the township is unique in that “you can’t get there from here.”
A trip into this Essex County community involves turns and curves, as well as passing through other communities if traveling by parkway or Route 3. With GPS in every automobile, people from all over the region are discovering what the locals have known for a some time. The community is the home of Cowan’s Public (best craft cocktails in NJ), the Old Canal Inn, more beer taps that you can imagine, MEAL, where the steaks draw patrons from across the Garden State, and Cubanelle. Nutley also has a pretty nifty and growing farmers market
The Nutley Farmers Market is can be fouund at 537 Franklin Ave (former Ciccolini Brothers parking lot). There is free street parking (meter are not enforced on Sunday) and a free municipal parking lot behind the market, accessible alongside Bella Luce restaurant.
It gets better. The market managers know that word of mouth is the best form of advertising, so they encourage patrons and guests to use the hashtag #nutleyfarmersmarket on facebook, twitter, and instagram. Has it worked? Of course, that’s how I originally discovered the market a few years ago!
Not familiar with the Nutley Farmers’ Market? It’s a nice surprise and bigger than you might expect.
The 10th Season of the Nutley Farmers Market begis Sunday, June 16 and will continue to October. Essex County’s only Sunday Farmers’ Market is open every Sunday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
