Morristown Families Invited to Watch Sheep Get a Spring Hair Cut – TAPinto.net
MORRISTOWN, NJ – After a long winter, the sheep at Fosterfields Living Historic Farm soon will be trading in their warm wool coats for something more lightweight and breathable. Join the skilled sheep shearer at Fosterfields Living Historical Farm on Saturday April 27 at the “Born to Be Shorn” event and watch the annual hand-shearing of live sheep.
From 11am – 4pm, visitors will see a flock of sheep receive their spring fleece cut. You’ll witness the trust between human and animal as sheep are sheared as it was done in the past, only using a pair of hand-held shears.
Enjoy hands-on activities, such as weaving and crafting, meet the cute baby lambs, and tour the Foster family’s 1854 Gothic revival-style mansion, the Willows.
