Sparta, NJ – Lake Mohawk Golf Club is pleased to announce the appointment of Joseph C. Fulco as General Manager and Chief Operating Officer (COO). He will direct all aspects of club operations including golf, restaurant, social events, and banquet management. The private club features a 18-hole course, driving range, practice greens, and full-service clubhouse, along with fine and casual dining, pub room, and a busy calendar of family and social events.
He brings a wealth of professional club management experience in member-owned golf, hunt, and country clubs in the Maryland area. Mr. Fulco and his team will be critical to that success.”
The new General Manager says he is looking forward to starting.
“This club has a solid history of exclusive golf, dining, and social activities since its founding in 1928,” he said. “I am thrilled to help lead the golf club to even greater heights as a member-owned club. Our members will know they are someplace special from the moment they arrive.”
Ed Susco, Vice President and House Committee Chairman noted that “Joe’s strong background in food and beverage and club operations experience will complement our efforts of enhancing “The Member Experience” when visiting the club.”
The new General Manager/COO has earned credentials from the Club Managers Association of America (CMAA), including the Certified Club Manager (CCM), the Honor Society, and the Certified Club Executive (CCE). The Club Managers Association of America is a professional Association for managers of membership clubs. CMAA has more than 6,000 members who manage more than 3,000 clubs in the US. He was also a past president of the Greater Baltimore Club Managers Association and served as National Director for the CMAA, both of which he served two terms. He earned his Associate of Arts degree in Hotel, Motel, Restaurant and Club Management from Essex Community College in Rosedale, MD.
Mr. Fulco and his wife, Stacy, who is a legal assistant, have four children. Haileigh and Kelsey have completed their studies, while Josh and Grace are in college. The family will relocate from Maryland to Sparta this spring with their two poodle mixes, Hollie and Stella.
In his spare time, Fulco enjoys a good game of golf and learning about fine wines by visiting wineries in Napa Valley, Washington state, and in New York’s Finger Lakes region. He is an ardent fan of the Baltimore Ravens.
