New Year’s Eve Family Fun: Fireworks, Parties and More! – Baristanet

New Year’s Eve isn’t just for grown-ups! The kids want to celebrate too! Get ready for some family fun, New Year’s Eve style! If you’re looking for some NYE family fun, we’ve got you covered!

Kidville Montclair (516 Valley Road, Montclair): Kidville will host a New Year’s Eve Balloon Drop! A reason for confetti and balloons? 2019! Usher in a new year with games, music, and delicious treats! Tickets are $15-$20. The event will be held from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM.

The Shannon Rose (98 Kingsland Road, Clifton): Celebrate the new year as the clock strikes midnight in Dublin. Celebrate from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM with face painters, bagpipers, balloons, and a celebratory toast. Space is limited, and reservations are required.

Dave & Buster’s (Willowbrook Mall, Wayne): Join Dave & Buster’s for a family New Year’s Eve celebration! Two packages are available. Both include an appetizer buffet with family favorites, dessert, unlimited soft drinks, and a video ball drop. The Fun Package ($33.86) also includes a $20 Power Card per guest. The LOL Fun Package ($41.86) includes a $35 Power card per guest and unlimited video game play. This event is from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

First Night Morris 2019 (24 Venues across Downtown Morristown): Now in its 27th year, First Night Morris is the biggest New Year’s Eve celebration in New Jersey. It will feature over 70 events including dance, theatre, music (rock, jazz, blues, classical, etc.), visual arts, world cultures, children’s programs and so much more. Crystal Springs Resort (Sussex County, NJ): The resort offers a variety of family-friendly dinner events with entertainment. Reservations are required for all events and some require an overnight stay at the resort. Check out the website for specific details.

iPlay America (110 Schanck Road, Freehold): Enjoy a night of rides, party favors, a live DJ, prizes and giveaways. Watch the ball drop and the confetti cannons fire at midnight. Dinner is available on site at the Boardwalk, featuring pizza, burgers, chicken fingers, and more. Party Passes start at $39.99 in advance and $49.99 at the door (toddlers under 36 inches are free). This even may sell out, so purchasing advance tickets is recommended.

First Night Ocean County (Boardwalk on Sheridan Avenue, Seaside Heights): From 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM, enjoy a family celebration with fun and games for everyone. Four arcades will host a variety of entertainment including balloonists, crafts, face painting, crafts, jugglers, magic, and caricature portraits. There will also be a special show at the Aquarium. Weather permitting, a fireworks display will begin at 5:00 PM. Admission bracelets are $5.00 per person. A full schedule is available online.

The Funplex (182 Route 10 West, East Hanover): Visit The Funplex on New Year’s Eve and take advantage of some great special offers! Purchase an Extreme Band or FunBand anytime during the day and receive a Free Dinner Ticket. Dinner is available from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and includes beverages, pizza, salad, and dessert. Enjoy a kid’s balloon drop at 8:00 PM, NYE favors, and balloon decorations. The Funplex will be open from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM. The New Year’s Eve Package includes a midnight countdown, unlimited rides, DJ, bowling, $10 arcade game card and a food buffet. Brunswick Zone Belleville Lanes (679 Washington Avenue, Belleville): Book a daytime family party package for some bowling fun. Package includes 2 hours of unlimited bowling (shoes included), a kid-friendly buffet including chips & salsa, Caesar salad, chicken tenders, pizza, French fries, cookies and soft drinks, and a sparkling cider and champagne toast (champagne for guests 21 and older). Turtleback Zoo Holiday Light Spectacular (560 Northfield Avenue, West Orange): Not exactly a New Year’s Eve celebration, but it’s still a fun holiday activity the whole family can enjoy. Take a winter stroll through the Essex County Turtle Back Zoo this holiday season under the sparkling lights of over 50 winter and animal characters. Themed activities include. Admission is free but donations of non-perishable food, new toys, and gently used coats appreciated. Open from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM. This is the Spectacular’s final night.

Six Flags (1 Six Flags Blvd, Jackson): Send off 2018 in style with a fireworks extravaganza along the Lakefront on New Year’s Eve! Ride your favorite coasters, enjoy festive food, shopping, entertainment and glittering lights from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Fireworks begin at 9:00 PM. Admission starts at $47.99 per person.

First Night 2018 on Battleship NJ (100 Clinton Street, Camden): Ring in the New Year by spending the night on the Battleship NJ. Enjoy dinner and breakfast served at the chowline, a guided tour of the Battleship, and a ride in the Flight Simulator. Then, sleep in the bunks that the crew of the USS New Jersey once did. At midnight, enjoy fireworks over the Delaware River. Cost is $79 per person, from 5:00 PM on 12/31 to 9:00 AM 1/1.  For those who don’t wish to spend the night, the Battleship will open her decks for guests to watch the 6:00 PM or Midnight SugarHouse New Year’s Eve Fireworks on the Waterfront. Enjoy music, food concessions and bar service. The deck will be open 2 hours prior to each fireworks show. Both shows are $10 per person.

Sesame Place (100 Sesame Road, Langhorne, PA) Rock out with Elmo, Abby Cadabby, Cookie Monster and Count von Count, as their music fills the air and the sky is covered with colorful bursts of brilliance.
