Nutley Raiders Defeat Belleville Buccaneers 20-13 in 76th Matchup of Football Rivals – TAPinto.net

NUTLEY, NJ – The Nutley Raider football team defeated the Belleville Buccaneers on the Nutley Park Oval today in the 76th match-up of these neighboring rivals. 

The teams first faced off in 1924 when Nutley defeated Belleville 7 – 0. In this century, Nutley defeated Belleville each time the two teams met. The last time the Buc and Raiders played, in 2015, the Bucs fell to the Raiders, 62-12. Today’s game also marked the first time Nutley and Belleville have played each other in any post season format. 

The final score today was 20 – 13.
