Bubble Gum Flavored Children’s Advil Recalled

The makers of Children’s Advil have recalled their bubble gum flavored product due to overdose fears.
According to the company, the dosage cup provided is marked in teaspoons and the instructions on the label are described in milliliters. The company stated that the unmatched dosage cup and instructions could lead to an overdose.
In response, the company recalled one lot of Children’s Advil Suspension Bubble Gum Flavored 4 FL OZ Bottle, with the following packaging information: NDC 0573-0207-30, lot R51129. The product was distributed nationwide to wholesalers, distributors and retailers in the United States from May 2018 through June 2018.
The company has notified wholesalers, distributors and retailers and has asked that all products be “quarantined” and returned. Consumers who have questions regarding this recall or to report an adverse event, should contact the Pfizer Consumer Healthcare Information Line at 1-800-88-Advil (1-800-882-3845), Mon-Fri, 9am-5pm EST.
The most common symptoms of an ibuprofen overdose include nausea, vomiting, headache, drowsiness, blurred vision and dizziness. Consumers experiencing any problems that may be related to taking or using this product should contact their healthcare provider, said the company.
