Nutley Fire Department Responds to Union City Blaze

UNION CITY, NJ–As units from North Hudson Regional Fire & Rescue battled a fatal five alarm fire in Union city, companies from Essex county were called in to provide mutual aid coverage into the area. As crews were arriving, a second fire was reported and multiple units including Nutley Engine 1 and Bloomfield Engine 3 responded directly to the fire, which was located at 1219 Hillside Place in North Bergen and appeared to have started in the basement with some extension into the walls. The fire was placed under control within 20 minutes  There is no further information or details on the fatalities.
