Saturday, July 7 at 10:00 a.m. – Summer Storytime.  Enjoy a story and craft to take home.  For all ages.  No registration required.

Monday, July 9, 16, 23 at 1:00 p.m. – Maker Monday’s – For all ages and skill levels.  No registration required. 

Monday-Friday, July 9 – 13 at 1:00 p.m. – Technology Workshops with Dr. Chris Masullo Robotic Animals – Learn about how real animals move.  Work in teams to build and program.  Use computers and sensors to bring these creatures to life.  Fee:  $20.00 per class.  For Nutley Residents entering Grades 4-6.  See youth services web-site for registration and further information.

Tuesday, July 10, 17, 31 at 10:00 a.m. – Babygarten – Children and Caregivers enjoy books, rhymes and playtime.  For children ages 23 months and under.

Tuesday, July 10, 24, 31 at 11:45 a.m. – Children’s Healthy Cooking Class.  Make healthy meals and snacks with Nutley Shop-Rite registered Dietitian, Stephanie Bini and Rebecca Zeltmann. Space is limited.  One cooking class per patron.  For ages 6-12.  On-line registration required.  youthservices.nutleypubliclibrary.org. Wednesday, July 11 at 10:30 a.m. – What is music?  Enjoy a story and touch, feel and play musical instruments – Ages 3-5 – No registration required.

Wednesday, July 11, 18, 25 at 1:00 p.m. – Wednesday Afternoon Knitters. Come share your love of knitting and crocheting with both beginning and experienced knitters. Meet fellow knitters, brush-up on your skills, and learn some new techniques. Please bring your own supplies. This group meets every Wednesday.

Thursday, July 12, 26 at 3:00 p.m. and July 19 at 6:30 p.m. Reading Buddies.  Beginner/Young Readers choose a book and pair up with a buddy to practice their reading and public speaking skills.  On-line registration required.   youthservices.nutleypubliclibrary.org.

Thursday, July 12 at 7:00 p.m. – Howling Woods Farm will be presenting about wolves and bringing wolf dogs to the library.  Recommended ages 6 and up.  No registration required.

Friday, July 13 at 10:30 a.m. – Author visit storytime – Ilene Dudek will be reading her new children’s book “Little Ant Saves the Day”.  With games, activities, book sale and signing to follow!

Monday, July 16 at 7:00 p.m. – Pajama Storytime – Make yourself comfortable.  Put on your pajama’s and slippers and meet us in the children’s room.  Listen to a story and make a craft.  For all ages.

Monday-Friday, July 16 – 20 at 1:00 p.m. – Technology Workshops with Dr. Chris Masullo – Robotic Vehicles.  Get in gear with robotics vehicles.  Learn to build and program robots, use a combination of logic, technology and creativity.   Fee:  $20.00 per class.  For Nutley Residents entering Grades 4-6.  See youth services web-site for registration and further information.

Wednesday, July 18 at 2:00 p.m. – Green Meadows Petting Zoo.  A fun and educational farm animal experience brought right to the library!  For all ages.  No registration required.

Friday, July 20 at 2:00 p.m. – Game On!  Calling all gamers.  Join us for some Video Gaming Fun!  New Game every hour.  All skill levels welcomed.  For all ages.  Upstairs – Children’s Room – No registration required.

Monday, July 23 at 7:00 p.m. – What is music?  Enjoy a story and touch, feel and play musical instruments.  Ages 6-12.  No registration required.

Wednesday, July 25 at 2:00 p.m. – Rick Mikula “The Butterfly Guy”.  Learn from Rick how to raise butterflies and moths at any time of year by using simple, recyclable, household items.  See the beauty of butterflies that Rick has found on his travels as well as the wonderful creatures that wait right outside your door.  For all ages – No registration required.

Monday, July 30 – August 3 at 1:00 p.m. – 2-D Video Game Design – Do you love classic video arcade games?  Then learn to design, test, and play and improve upon some of the greatest games ever played.  Fee:  $20.00 per class.  For Nutley Residents entering Grades 4-6.

Monday, July 30 at 3:00 p.m.– Sand Art Workshop.  This workshop is offered to Nutley residents who are registered for the Summer Reading Program only.  The Sand Art Workshop is for all ages and space is limited.  This event will be outside on library grounds, weather permitting.

Tuesday, July 31 at 7:00 p.m. – Caribbean Steel Drums with Justin Derman.  Listen and play along to the popular music of Trinidad, Jamaica and Calypso.  Family event for all ages.  No registration required.  Last day to register for the Summer Reading Program.  Win big prizes and bundles.
