Two New Jersey residents charged after 5-year old ingests Methamphetamine – wobm.com

Two New Jersey residents have arrested and charged after a 5-year old boy ingested an undislcosed amount of Methamphetamine, according to Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez.

A 20-year old woman, and mother of the child, along with her 22-year old boyfriend, both of Jersey City, were arrested Friday by the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit.

The couple has now been charged with Endangering the Welfare of a Child, and Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance, according to Prosecutor Suarez.

Following their arrest, they were both brought to the Hudson County Correctional Facility, pending an intial court appearance(s).

Their names are being withheld to protect the identity of the victim.

Prosecutor Suarez said the names of the couple charged are being withheld to protect the identity of the 5-year old boy. who is in good health following the ingestion of meth.

The Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit led the investigation and made the arrests with assistance from Jersey City Police and the Jersey City Public Schools.
