North Jersey school closings, altered schedules for Friday, Feb. 4 – NorthJersey.com
The forecast calls for a potentially icy commute on Friday morning, causing some school districts to close.
The National Weather Service has a winter weather advisory in effect for North Jersey, including Bergen, Essex, Hudson, Morris, Passaic and Sussex counties.
Temperatures will drop into the 20s Friday morning with rain changing over to freezing rain.
“Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning or evening commute,” the National Weather Service warns. “Slow down and use caution while traveling.”
Some school districts are monitoring the weather conditions and will make a decision later Thursday or early Friday morning. So check with your local school district for the latest.
