West Caldwell Child Wins Award at Verona Park Fishing Derby

VERONA, NJ — Thomas Simko of West Caldwell caught the first fish in the boys’ category during the Essex County Fishing Derby in Essex County Verona Park last week, catching his first fish only five minutes into the contest.
Thomas is pictured above with his award, presented by Essex County Executive Joseph DiVincenzo, Jr. Pictured with Thomas are DiVincenzo, his mother, Sandra, and Essex County Deputy Parks Director Kate Hartwyk.
