Lillie Bell Jones was born in Kathleen, Georgia on February 10, 1952, to the late Luke and Eula Turner. She transitioned, and received her royal crown on November 16, 2021.
Lillie received her formal education through the Newark Public School System. She aspired to attend Essex County College, where she received her certification in Early Childcare. She was employed with the Newark Pre-school Program, which she enjoyed so much that it prompted her to want more. She took on a new challenge and decided to attend The American Red Cross School of Nursing, where she obtained her certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant. She moved forward and was gainfully employed by Daughters of Israel for 28 years, retiring in 2014
Lillie was a member of Calvary Community New Birth Ministries, where she served in the capacity of Missionary and Bible study.
Lillie married her childhood sweetheart, George Jones, on March 4, 1970. From this union they were blessed with four children, George 3rd, Sharanda, Jimmy and Christopher. Lillie loved to cook, especially macaroni & cheese and peach cobbler that no one could get enough of. She enjoyed watching her wrestling, playing Candy Crush, and watching her soap operas. She especially loved reading her Bible and attending Bible study. She also loved taking care of her great niece, who she called her baby Mahlani.
Lillie is survived by: her children, George the 3rd, Sharanda, Jimmy and Mahlani; her special friend of 26 years, James Daughety; twelve grandchildren, Tajuan, Rashawn, Karimah, Sabriyah, Al-Shaquar, Al-Quan, Zahiriah, Kyree, Jimmy Jr., Jimmia, J’syiah, and Jazmie; Eleven great grandchildren, Tajuan Jr., Teara, Quamir, Nasir, Ky’neef, Kymirah, Kalani, Asani, Somya, Hazel and Zaiden; three sisters, her twin Annie Gillens (Marvin), Mildred Turner and Valerie Turner; five brothers, Luke Turner Jr., Walter Turner, Bruce Turner(Gwendolyn), Michael and Calvin Turner.
Lillie was preceded in death her husband George Jones, son Christopher Jones, sister Deidre Neal, brother Cuely Berry, and grandson Al-Latif Jones.
