With the support of the Hoboken Business Alliance, the play will run from Thursday, September 16th through October 2nd and is completely FREE to the public.The Complete Works brings three actors together to stumble through all 37 of the Bard’s plays in 90 hilarious, irreverent minutes. HDSID’s All About Downtown Street Fair is taking place this Saturday, September 18th from 12:00PM-8:00PM at the Newark Avenue Pedestrian Mall and Grove PATH Plaza. The fun-filled day will have over 200 artist and artisan vendors, local shops, and restaurants participating + 15 food trucks, and 4 stages of music and performance acts. Not to mention, there will be kid’s rides, face painting, and games amongst the delicious food and drinks and shopping as you explore Downtown Jersey City.

Our Annual Hoboken Wellness Crawl Event is back in-person — happening September 19, 2021, from 11:00AM – 4:00PM in Hoboken AND tickets are almost sold out! Think of it like a ‘bar crawl’ but for wellness businesses in our area. This year we have over 100 vendors participating, all who are giving all Crawlers freebies when they stop by on the 19th during the Crawl and are hosting giveaways. For every ticket sold, we are donating $1 to the Hoboken Community Center Food Pantry. The crawl will feature brick-and-mortar businesses + online/mobile businesses. The goal of the Hoboken Wellness Crawl is to connect local residents with wellness businesses in Hudson County to celebrate all of the incredible food, fitness, health, and beauty options available in our community. You’ll get a map, bracelet, bag, and then walk or bike all around #Hoboken at your leisure to visit different wellness businesses locally that all are giving away freebies, class passes, samples, and more.

The NYCRUNS Ladies First Half Marathon + 5K will take place on September 18th at 8AM at Shore Road Park Pier in Brooklyn. The race was created for those who identify as women, but men can join in too. Awards will be given to ladies only. The in-person option offers a flat course around the southern edge of Brooklyn. Runners will go under the Verrazzano Bridge and see the Manhattan skyline from across the harbor. For the virtual option, you can run or walk anywhere you want, including a treadmill. Participants can track their miles any way they want and with any device they want. Participants must log their miles and submit their results by December 31, 2021. Learn more here.

The race is $30 and when you register for BGCN’s 5K to Wellness, you are supporting the efforts to raise funds to serve Newark’s youth and their families. Funds will provide more youth and families access to services like dental and eye care, stress management activities such as meditation, as well as crisis support to address mental and behavioral health challenges. Ways to Give Back Locally
Hoboken Food Pantry | 1301 Washington Street, Hoboken
Nearly 25% of the Hoboken Community relies on the help of the Hoboken Food Pantry, which is a part of the Hoboken Community Center. Its pantry is only stocked and distributed through the support of the community. The Food Pantry needs non-perishable food and personal hygiene items such as toothpaste, instant oatmeal, shelf-stable milk, deodorant, shampoo, canned pasta, cereal, and peanut butter—to name a few. Volunteers are needed to help pack, label, and distribute bags of food. Each session can host up to 13 volunteers in order to comply with CDC guidelines and anyone ages 13 and up can help. Hoboken Shelter | 301 Bloomfield Street, Hoboken
The Hoboken Shelter hosts 50 guests nightly and serves more than 1,000 meals throughout the week. As a full-service community partner, the Hoboken Shelter is a necessary resource within the neighborhood. The Shelter is always in need of donations and support to help keep its doors open and welcoming to its guests. This list is inclusive of tasks like donating some of the most needed items like toiletries, coffee, sugar, milk, hand sanitizer, cleaning supplies, and paper products. The Shelter does have opportunities to host volunteers in-person from 11AM-2PM and 6PM-7PM. Please call before arriving as The Shelter can only host 1-2 in-person volunteers at a time due to social distancing guidelines. Learn more here.

Round 2 Resources allows items throughout our community to have a second chance and avoid landfills.
