An 8-year-old boy accidentally committed suicide while playing with a gun at Newark’s house – Floridanewstimes.com

Newark, NJ (WABC)-8-year-old boy accidentally fired and committed suicide in what was considered a horrific accident, law enforcement officials said.

According to sources, the child was playing with a gun in the second flood apartment on Skyler Street when he went out around 10:30 pm on Sunday night.

The Essex County Prosecutor’s Murder Task Force is investigating death and trying to identify who owns a gun and misplaces it. This makes it easy for children to find.

The family was traumatized when the emergency vehicle arrived at the scene.

The eight-year-old was told by his neighbors that he was a friendly kid who often went out every time an ice cream truck came.

Kids also loved riding scooters.

He has not yet been identified, and authorities say the case involves several custody issues.

According to some residents, the family has not been blocked for a long time and there was some noticeable tension in the family.

Authorities haven’t said if the gun is illegal, but it’s another example of the danger of unlocking a gun in the house when you have children.

So far, there have been no arrests in this case.
