With many coronavirus restrictions lifted in New Jersey, residents will have more opportunities this year to see the skies light up for the Fourth of July.

Parades, 5Ks, festivals and other community celebrations are also on deck.

Below is a list of Independence Day events throughout the state’s 21 counties. The events, which don’t all fall on July 4, are listed by county in alphabetical order. Some events have already been postponed or cancelled due to rain in recent days, and others have rain dates in place just in case.

ATLANTIC CITY American Idol finalist and Galloway Township-native Mara Justine will sing the National Anthem prior to a Fourth of July fireworks show at 9:20 p.m. in the Marina District between The Borgata and Harrah’s.

Fireworks company Grucci will put on a show in front of Tropicana at 10 p.m. Singer-songwriter Brian McKnight will perform at Ocean Casino Resort on July 3 at 8 p.m., and DJ Steve Aoki will take the stage at the resort’s HQ2 Beachclub on July 4 at 11 a.m.

The Main Boardwalk Showroom at The Claridge Hotel will host the “Uncle Sam’s Summer Sing-A-Long” on July 4 at 5 p.m.

BUENA VISTA The township has canceled its annual Independence Day celebration.

HAMMONTON The Hammonton Independence Day Parade will return to downtown Hammonton on July 4 at 11 a.m. The parade will run along Bellevue Avenue with fireworks scheduled for dusk at Hammonton Lake Park.

ALLENDALE A Fourth of July celebration will start with a flag raising and morning salute at Memorial Park at 7 a.m. A fireworks display is scheduled for 9 p.m. at Crestwood Lake.

EAST RUTHERFORD The New Jersey State Fair at the Meadowlands will have fireworks after 10 p.m. on July 3 and 4. Live music, food, entertainment and amusement rides are also available.

LYNDHURST The Fourth of July Celebration and Fireworks display were cancelled due to the weather forecast and rescheduled for Monday, Sept. 6.

MAYWOOD Fourth of July Independence Day Parade set for July 5 at 9 a.m.

NORWOOD The borough’s annual fireworks display will be on July 4 at Kennedy Fields. The show will begin shortly after sundown.

ORADELL Fourth of July parade will include a performance by the Bergen County Pipes & Drums at Memorial Field.

PARAMUS On July 4, a food truck and music festival will be held at 2 p.m. at the Westfield Garden State Plaza parking lot and a fireworks show will take place at 6 p.m. at the Cliff Gennarelli-Paramus Sports-Plex.

RIDGEFIELD PARK A parade and celebration will be held July 5 at 7:30 a.m. There will also be a reading of the Declaration of Independence and an official flag raising. Fireworks are scheduled for later in the day.

RIDGEWOOD Ridgewood’s annual Fourth of July flag raising ceremony will be held July 5 at 9 a.m. at Wilsey Square, with a parade set to start at 10 a.m. No fireworks show this year. Evening entertainment and fireworks are expected to return in 2022.

RIVER EDGE The Annual Fourth of July Parade will begin at noon. A fair will be held at 1 p.m. at Veterans Memorial Park, including live music and a petting zoo.

BORDENTOWN TWP. Fourth of July Fireworks postponed to Sept. 4 at Joseph Lawrence Park at dusk. Rain date: Sept. 5.

EVESHAM Fourth of July Fireworks display on July 4 at 7 p.m. at Savich Tract fields.

MEDFORD Independence Day Celebration at Freedom Park has been canceled.

MOORESTOWN DJ Blake Rouen will play live music July 4 at the Sunnybrook Swim Club at 3 p.m.

BELLMAWR Independence Day parade on July 5 at Borough Hall at 9 a.m. A bicycle parade will be held at the St. Joachim Church parking lot at 10 a.m.

CAMDEN Independence Day Freedom Festival will be held on July 4 at Wiggins Waterfront park at 5 p.m., including live music. A fireworks show is set for 9:30 p.m. over the Delaware River.

Battleship New Jersey will be open to watch the fireworks on deck starting at 7 p.m.

CHERRY HILL Independence Day 5K and 1-mile walk at Croft Farm, with games and activities also planned.

COLLINGSWOOD Independence Day activities will be held July 4 at 2 p.m. at Roberts Pool. Live music will be available at Collingswood High School, followed by a fireworks show at dusk.

GLOUCESTER CITY Fourth of July celebration, including food trucks, a concert and fireworks, will be held at 6 p.m.

HADDONFIELD Fourth of July celebration will begin on July 3 at 7 p.m. with live music. A fireworks show will be held at Haddonfield Middle School at 9:20 p.m. A parade will take place July 5 at 10 a.m.

HADDON TWP. A fireworks display will be held July 3 at dusk from the Haddon Twp. High School Football stadium. Rain date: July 5.

AVALON Fourth of July concert is set for July 4 at 7:30 p.m. at Surfside Park, with fireworks scheduled for dusk at 30th Street beach.

CAPE MAY Historic Spring Village’s annual Independence Day celebration set for July 3 and July 4 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

MIDDLE TWP. Independence Day celebration, including fireworks and live music, will start at 6 p.m. at the Goshen Sports Complex on July 4.

OCEAN CITY Fourth of July celebration, including fireworks, scheduled for July 4 at 9 p.m. at Music Pier.

SEA ISLE CITY Independence Day fireworks show to take place July 4 at 9 p.m. near 50th Street beach.

STONE HARBOR Fireworks, which will be visible from anywhere near the beach, begin at 9 p.m. on July 4.

WILDWOOD Friday Night Fireworks will kick off on the Wildwoods boardwalk July 2 at 10 p.m. Rain date Sunday at 10 p.m. The Fourth of July Fireworks Spectacular is planned for 10 p.m. July 4; rain date July 5.

VINELAND Fourth of July concert at Giampietro Park at 7 p.m. A fireworks show will be held after the concert at Vineland High School. Rain date: July 5.

BELLEVILLE An annual Fourth of July morning ceremony will be held at the old Belleville Dutch Reformed Church (now La Senda Antigua) at the corner of Main Street and Rutger Street at 11 a.m. The event will include a roll call of Revolutionary War soldiers buried at the cemetery, gun salute and reading of the Declaration of Independence.

LIVINGSTON The July 4th celebration will begin at Livingston High School with the 27th Annual Auto Fest from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Live music will also be available, but there will not be fireworks this year.

MAPLEWOOD Light Show Spectacular and fireworks at Memorial Park are canceled for 2021.

MILLBURN A Fourth of July flag raising is set for 9 a.m. at Taylor Park, followed by family activities. Fireworks start at 9 p.m. at the Millburn High School football field.

MONTCLAIR Montclair has canceled their Fourth of July celebration for the second year in a row.

WEST CALDWELL Independence Day fireworks are scheduled at the James Caldwell High School baseball field at 7 p.m. Entertainment will be provided by DJ Danny Duca. Rain date: July 5.

WEST ORANGE An Independence Day celebration will be held July 4 at West Orange High School. The 5th Annual Food Truck Festival will kick off at 1 p.m. Fireworks will begin at dusk.

PITMAN On July 5, the borough will host the 40th Annual Pitman Freedom Four Miler Road Race at 8:45 a.m., a parade at 9:55 a.m. and a fireworks display at dusk (visible at Alcyon Lake, Alcyon Park and Betty Park).

WASHINGTON TWP. An Independence Day parade will be held July 4 at Washington Township High School at 6:30 p.m., followed by fireworks at 9 p.m.

WENONAH Fourth of July parade will be held at 8 a.m. A hike will be hosted by the Wenonah Environmental Commission at 1 p.m.

WILLIAMSTOWN The 2nd Annual 4th of July Puppy Parade will be held at 11 a.m. at the Pfeiffer Community Center. Fourth of July fireworks set for Williamstown High School at dusk. Rain date: July 5.

BAYONNE Live music will be available July 7 at 7 p.m. at DiDomenico Park. Fireworks are scheduled for 9:15 p.m.

JERSEY CITY The Freedom and Fireworks event will be held July 4 at Exchange Place, with a food festival starting at noon and fireworks set for 9:30 p.m.

LEBANON The 74th Annual Fourth of July Parade will be held in Lebanon. The children’s parade will start at 11 a.m. at Sutton Place (across from police headquarters) and the main parade will start at 11:30 a.m. along Main Street. Activities will be held at Holjes-Sheppard Park.

STOCKTON J.B. Kline and Ed Wall will perform July 4 at noon at the Federal Twist Vineyard.

HAMILTON TWP. An Independence Day concert and fireworks show are set to start at 6 p.m. on July 3 at Veterans Park, after being postponed from the night before.

ROBBINSVILLE Fourth of July events will start July 4 at 9 a.m., including a fireworks show, at the Princeton Memorial Park & Mausoleum. The fireworks will be visible across from the cemetery.

PRINCETON The Princeton Battlefield Society will host a reading of the Declaration of Independence on July 4 at noon.

WEST WINDSOR TWP. The 17th annual L.E.A.D. Fest State Fair will be held from July 1 through July 11 (weekdays: 5 to 11 p.m. and weekends 1 to 11 p.m.).

HIGHLAND PARK Fourth of July event will be held at Donaldson Park on July 5 at 6 p.m., after being postponed from July 1. Music and food will be available at 6 p.m. and fireworks will be shown around 9:20 p.m.

MILLTOWN Independence Day events, which begin at 6 a.m., will include a fishing derby, 5K race and music. Fireworks will start at 9:30 p.m.

NEW BRUNSWICK will hold a celebration featuring live music in Boyd Park starting at 6 p.m. on July 5. Guests at the park will be able to see the fireworks launched over the Raritan River from Highland Park.

NORTH BRUNSWICK A fireworks show is set for July 4 at 10 p.m. Rain date: July 11 at 10 p.m.

PERTH AMBOY AND SOUTH AMBOY Fourth of July fireworks have been canceled for the second year in a row.

WOODBRIDGE A Fourth of July event at Alvin P. Williams Memorial Park, which will include fireworks and music by the Nerds, has been rescheduled from July 2 at 4 p.m. to its rain date, July 5.

ABERDEEN The annual Independence Day celebration has been postponed to July 9 at Veterans Memorial Park with food trucks, bouncy castles and fireworks.

ATLANTIC HIGHLANDS Fourth of July fireworks will be displayed at the Atlantic Highlands Marina at 9:45 p.m. Rain date: July 5.

BRADLEY BEACH Bradley Beach’s fireworks show, which was scheduled for July 3, has been postponed until a later date.

FREEHOLD The 18th Annual Freehold Township Day will be held July 10 with live music and a fireworks show at 9:15 p.m.

HAZLET Hazlet will host fireworks July 5 at Veterans Park.

HOLMDEL Longstreet Farm will host an Independence Day celebration July 4 at noon. The 1890s-themed event will include music, games and contests.

LONG BRANCH The annual Oceanfest festival has been canceled. A July 4 fireworks show has been postponed.

MATAWAN Independence Day event postponed to July 9 at Lake Lefferts Park. Fireworks will be shown at dusk.

UNION BEACH Independence Day fireworks will be held July 3. Rain date: July 5.

CHATHAM The Independence Day parade and fireworks show has been canceled.

DOVER The Fourth of July celebration, including fireworks and live music, will be held July 3 at 6:30 p.m. at North Dover School. Rain date: July 5.

FLORHAM PARK The Fourth of July celebration will feature a parade on July 5. The event will not include rides, fireworks, food or the social garden, which organizers said will return in 2022.

JEFFERSON TWP. The annual festival will be held July 10 at 5 p.m. at Jefferson Township High School. The event will include food trucks, music and fireworks at approximately 9:30 p.m.

MORRISTOWN A July 4 hike to Revolutionary War Powder Mill will start at 11 a.m. Attendees will meet at Morris County Historical Society at Acorn Hall.

RANDOLPH The Freedom Festival will run from July 1 to 3 with food trucks, live music, rides and fireworks.

BEACHWOOD Independence Day fireworks will be shown over Toms River on July 4 at 5 p.m. The event will include face painting, ice cream trucks and food trucks.

JACKSON A Food Truck and Fireworks Extravaganza will take place 3 to 9 p.m. Saturday, July 10, at John F. Johnson Memorial Park.

LAKEHURST Fourth of July events have been canceled.

LAVALLETTE On July 11, the township will host a concert and fireworks at 8 p.m. at the Lavallette Gazebo. Rain date: Aug. 18.

LAKEWOOD The Jersey Shore BlueClaws will host their Red, White and BlueClaws weekend with fireworks after each 7:30 p.m. game on July 2, 3 and 4. The biggest fireworks display will be held July 4.

JENKINSON’S BEACH Every Thursday in July, a fireworks show will take place after dark. Independence Day fireworks on July 4 are also scheduled.

CLIFTON A picnic, family activities and a fireworks display are scheduled for July 4. Family crafts will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. The fireworks will be shown at the Clifton High School Stadium at dusk. Rain date: July 5.

LITTLE FALLS An Independence Day street fair will be held July 4 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The event, which will be held on Main Street and Stevens Avenue, will include rides, food and entertainment.

WOODLAND PARK The Passaic County Fair will return from Aug. 12 to 15 at the Garret Mountain Reservation. The fair, which features a petting zoo, amusement rides and live music, will host two fireworks shows on Aug. 14 and 15.

PILESGROVE The Four Seasons Family Campground will host a Fourth of July weekend July 2 to 5. The campground will have fireworks July 3.

WOODSTOWN The Woodstown Firecracker 5K will take off July 4 at 5 a.m. at the Marlton Recreation Park.

The borough’s Fourth of July parade has been canceled (expected to return in 2022).

BRIDGEWATER Somerset County Park Commission will not be hosting Independence Day events this year. The commission plans to return in 2022.

FRANKLIN TWP. An Independence Day fireworks display has been postponed to July 9. Music starts around 7:30 p.m., and the fireworks will go off after 9 p.m.

NORTH PLAINFIELD Fourth of July parade set for July 5 at 10 a.m. Fireworks, as well as music and other entertainment, will be held on July 10 at 5 p.m. at West End School. Rain date: July 11.

AUGUSTA The Sussex County Miners will have fireworks after their July 4 game against the New Jersey Jackals at Skylands Stadium. The game starts at 6 p.m.

VERNON Mountain Creek Resort will host a celebratory firework display July 3 at 9 p.m. on the Great Lawn.

CLARK Fourth of July fireworks will be held at 9:15 p.m. at Arthur Johnson High School.

ELIZABETH A Fourth of July Festival will be held at 3 p.m. on Front Street The event will include food trucks, artists and fireworks at dusk.

NEW PROVIDENCE The 2021 New Providence Independence Day celebration has been canceled.

ROSELLE PARK An Independence Day event has been postponed to July 5 at 5 p.m. at Herm Shaw Athletic Field. A flag raising ceremony will be held at dusk, followed by fireworks.

SPRINGFIELD The Fourth of July Celebration will take place at Meisel Avenue Park, Meisel Avenue., starting 5 p.m. July, 4 with rides, petting zoo, food trucks, a concert by the 1910 Fruitgum Company at 8 p.m. and fireworks.

SUMMIT The 74th annual Fourth of July celebration will begin with a flag raising ceremony at noon at Soldiers Memorial Field. The event will include a decorated bicycle parade, food trucks, live music and a hot dog eating contest. Fireworks are set to start at 9:15 p.m.

UNION TWP. July 4th fireworks and a concert will be held at Biertuempfel Park at 1300 Winslow Ave. The concert will begin at 7:30 p.m. and fireworks will follow.

BLAIRSTOWN Blairstown’s Fourth of July celebration is set for July 4 with food, music and games. An opening ceremony will be held at 11 a.m. Rain date: July 10.

WASHINGTON BOROUGH: July 4 events will include a crate derby (rain date: July 10), parade at 2 p.m. (no rain date) and fireworks with music from 6 to 9:30 p.m. at Warren Hills Middle School (no rain date).

The 45th annual Macy’s fireworks display over the East River will return July 4 after being scaled back in 2020 due to the pandemic. The show will begin at about 9:25 p.m.

The Museum of the American Revolution will host a week of Fourth of July events.

There will also be fireworks over the Philadelphia Museum of Art on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway starting around 9:30 p.m.

The Sound of Liberty concert event is scheduled for July 4 at 4 p.m. The event, which will also be live-streamed by the Marian Anderson Historical Society, will include a dramatic reading of the Declaration of Independence.

Rivers Casino will also host a Fourth of July block party in Philadelphia at 5 p.m., including live entertainment and food trucks.
