Jackson Police need your help finding man who broke into home – wobm.com

Jackson Township Police are hoping you can identify and help them find a man who broke into a home on Leesville Road Thursday and then took off once he discovered someone was home leading to a high speed pursuit.

A teenager was inside the home at the time.

She told police that she heard someone knocking at the front door and kept on ringing the doorbell, so she called her parents to see if they were expecting someone they knew coming over.

While this was happening, she heard a loud bang at the door, which she later learned was from a man kicking the door to force his way into the house.

She hung up with her family member and called 9-1-1 while hiding in a room.

The man entered the home, went to her parents bedroom and then to the room she was in and when he saw her, he left the residence and booked it on his Harley Davidson Road Glide.

He is described as a white male, wearing a long sleeve black shirt, tan pants, grey gloves and a helmet with several stickers on it.

Police spotted the man on the motorcycle along Leesville Road from the opposite direction going at a high rate of speed and they tried to pull him over but when the man refused to stop, it led to a pursuit from Leesville Road eventually onto West Veterans Highway and then Don Connor Boulevard before heading onto Bowman Road, towards East Veterans Highway and then into a residential area on Reagan Drive.

He then turned onto a cul-de-sac, police said, and when he was cornered and out of road, he drove across several peoples yards and then around the officers who were turning around to follow him.

The man on the motorcycle then drove to Bowman Road where he reached speeds of over 90 miles per hour.

He then turned onto Toms River Road as the officers began to lose sight of him which is when the pursuit was terminated for safety reasons.

Anyone who may know the identity of the man on the motorcycle is asked to contact the Jackson Police Department at 732-928-1111 or through the department’s StopIt app online.
