Scout-o-Rama In Secaucus, Memorial Day Parade This Weekend – Patch.com
SECAUCUS, NJ — If you’re looking for something to do with kids or families this weekend in Secaucus, there are three big events in town:
First there will be the town Memorial Day parade, which kicks off at 12 noon Saturday, May 22 from Trolley Park at the bottom of Paterson Plank Road. All are welcome to line the parade route on Paterson Plank Road, see the parade and thank the men and women who serve in the U.S. military.
Also on Saturday, the Craft Clique will celebrate its tenth anniversary with a celebration in Buchmuller Park. The festivities kick off at 12 noon; all are welcome to come see a Guinness Book of World Records magician/illusionist, free sand art, free crafts and free kids’ tattoos, plus a special mystery kids’ author appearance. It goes from 12 -3 p.m. in Buchmuller.
Then on Sunday, the Northern New Jersey Council on Scouting will hold Scout-o-Rama in Laurel Hill Park. This event will go from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. and your child does not have to be member of the Boy or Girl Scouts; it is open to the public to learn more about Scouting.
All children are welcome to experience fishing, knot skills, STEM challenges, shelter building, Challenge an Eagle Scout, basic first aid and something called the “Raingutter Regatta.” Due to COVID restrictions, however you must pre-register your child to attend.
