Car Seat Inspections Taking Place in Morristown, Morris Plains Location – TAPinto.net

MORRISTOWN, NJ –  The Northern New Jersey Kids Safe Community is offering free car seat inspections at six sites in Morris, Essex and Warren County. According to the organization, 4 out of 5 car seats are misused.

Throughout the world, almost one million children die of an injury each year, and almost every one of these tragedies is preventable, they stated. Safe Kids Northern New Jersey, is led by Morristown Medical Center and works to keep safe at home, on the road and at play.

To be safe on the road, kids need a safe car seat. Families can now get your car seat professionally checked by a nationally certified Child Passenger Safety Technician (CPST) at the following locations:

Shade Tree Garage located at 171 Washington Street in Morristown. They are open the second Saturday of the month from 8am – 12 noon and the third Tuesday of the month from 5pm – 8pm.

Mt Tabor Volunteer Fire Department located at 72 South Powder Mill Road in Morris Plains. They are open Wednesdays June, July and August from 9am – 1pm and September  – May 9am – 3pm

Chester First Aid Squad located at 100 North Road in Chester. They are open the first Tuesday of the month from 2pm – 6pm and the third Tuesday of the month from 7am – 12noon.

Denville Fire Department/St. Clare’s Hospital at 2 Indian Road n Denville. They are open the 1st monday of the month from 10am – 1pm.

In Sussex County, 5 West Shore Train in Sparta is open the fourth Monday of the Monday from 10am – 1pm 

Pompton Lakes First Aid Squad located at 700 Ramapo Avenue in Pompton Lakes is open the third Monday of the month from 4pm – 7pm.

Fairfield Fire Department located at 51 Plymouth Street in Fairfield. Open the 1st Tuesday of the month from 9am – 12noon.
