Several crews needed to put out fire in Point Pleasant Beach – wobm.com – wobm.com

There were five fire companies needed to help put out an apartment fire in Point Pleasant Beach on Sunday afternoon.

The Ocean Fire Company said in a statement that they arrived along with Point Pleasant Beach Fire Company #2 to the Beacon Gardens Apartments for a report of smoky conditions and as they got there saw fire emanating from a 2nd story window.

It was at that point, they requested back-up fire companies, including from neighboring Point Pleasant Borough and from Wall Township, according to NJ.com, to assist in putting out the blaze.

A team effort by the firefighters helped them put out the fire and help clean the area.

The Ocean Fire Company said the cause of the fire is under investigation by the Point Pleasant Beach Fire Marshal and Ocean County Fire Marshal’s Office.

No injuries were reported.
