The State of New Jersey, the county of Essex, and the Township of Belleville are experiencing an increase in COVID – 19 positive cases. We are encouraging all to follow recommendations for face-guard wearing, social distancing, and frequently washing/sanitizing your hands.
Effective November 12th, all restaurants, bars, clubs, and lounges must close indoor dining by 10:00 p.m. Outdoor dining, takeout, or delivery services may continue past 10:00 p.m.
Residents with or without symptoms are encouraged to get tested. Children age 8 and older are welcome to get tested. Testing is provided free of charge to Exxex County Residents No insurance is required.
Residents can register for a COVID -19 test at www.EssexCOVID.org or by calling the Essex County Office of Emergency Management at 973-324-9950.
The New Jersey Department of Health Novel Coronavirus Call Center is open and is taking calls from the general public. It is open 24/7 and can accommodate calls in several languages. They can be reached at 800-222-1222.
