$5K Reward Offered To Catch Essex County Hit-And-Run Driver – West Orange, NJ Patch
ESSEX COUNTY, NJ — The Essex County Prosecutor’s Office is asking for the public’s help solving a “cold case” from 2006.
On Wednesday, authorities announced that they need help finding a driver who allegedly killed a person in Orange. According to prosecutors:
“On Oct. 5, 2006, Carey Suitt was struck and killed by a hit-and-run driver on Freeway Drive East and South Center Street in the City of Orange. The driver, according to witnesses, failed to stop and fled on Hickory Street in Orange. Witnesses described the vehicle as a black 2005 GMC Envoy.”
Anyone with information can contact investigative aide Joseph Hadley at 973-621-4035. The Essex County Sheriff’s Crime Stoppers Program is offering up to $5,000 for information leading to an arrest in this case.
