3 Towns, 3 Fatal Shootings: Day Of Violence In Essex County | West Orange, NJ Patch – Patch

ESSEX COUNTY, NJ — Three separate fatal shootings took place in Essex County on Wednesday, authorities said.

The shootings took place in East Orange, Irvington and Orange, according to a spokesperson from the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office. Each involved a male victim.

EAST ORANGE

One person was killed in the East Orange shooting, which took place on Hilton Street, prosecutors said.

More information, including the identity of the victim, wasn’t immediately available.

ORANGE

Another victim was killed in the Orange shooting, which took place around 5:18 p.m. on the 500-block of Scotland Road, prosecutors said.

When officers arrived, they found Anton Douglas, 24, suffering from gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 5:35 p.m.

No arrests have been made, prosecutors said.

IRVINGTON

One person died in a quadruple shooting that took place in Irvington around 11 p.m., prosecutors said.

Fuquan Davis, 44, of Irvington, was shot while standing in front of a store on the 800-block of 18th Avenue, prosecutors said.

Three other people who were in the area were also shot. They sustained non-life-threatening injuries, prosecutors said.
