24-year-old father gunned down inside his home, police say – NJ.com
A 24-year-old father was shot and killed inside his Irvington home on Thursday afternoon, police said.
Daquan Smith was pronounced dead at the scene on the 400 block of Grove Street at 1:54 p.m., the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office and Irvington Police announced Friday.
Smith, who was identified in a social media post as a father, but it was unclear if the child was at home when the shooting occurred.
No arrests were made as of Friday afternoon and no suspects were identified, the office said.
