The girl’s mother was at a nearby church at the time. Surveillance video shows her running toward her injured daughter. Her other daughter, a newborn, was in her arms.

The injured girl was conscious when authorities arrived on scene. She was taken to the hospital in critical condition. The girl is expected to recover, her father told PIX11.

“She’s alive and that’s all I need,” the girl’s father said.

According to authorities, the vehicle was recovered. Police are looking for the driver of the vehicle.
